This page is a starting template. It describes how this business intends to operate, and it is not legal advice.

The rules on buying and reselling medical supplies are set state by state, and some of them turn on the exact labelling of a specific product. Diabetic Supply Buyers should have a lawyer review these terms, and the list of products this shop buys, before relying on any of it.

This list is read from our own buy sheet every time this page is loaded, so it is what we are taking today rather than what we were taking when these terms were written.

We buy CGM Transmitters, Test Strips, CGM Sensors, CGM Readers, Pump Supplies, Pen Needles, Lancets and Meters.

The manufacturers we take are Dexcom, Insulet, Abbott, Ascensia, BD, LifeScan, Medtronic, ReliOn and Roche.

You can see every box we buy, and tell us what you have, on our Sell page. If what you have is not there, ask us before you make the trip.

This website does not show a price. You tell us what you have, a person looks at it, and we send you an offer, usually by text.

That offer is what we pay if the boxes match what you described: the same product, the same expiry date, the same condition, the same number of them.

If they do not, we will tell you the revised price before any money changes hands. You are free to walk away at that point and owe us nothing. We can also decline to buy for any lawful reason, and we will tell you why.

We can only buy from adults. You must be at least 18 years old.

Bring a government issued photo ID, such as a driver license or a passport. We check it and record that we saw it. We cannot buy from you without it, even if we have already agreed a price.

We buy supplies that are sealed in their original unopened manufacturer packaging, in date by at least two months, undamaged, and made by a recognised manufacturer. The box has to have a readable lot number and expiry date, because that is how a recall gets traced.

The products we buy are the ones on our Sell page, and that list is always the current one. If what you have is not on it, ask us before you make the trip.

We cannot buy anything opened, expired, damaged, relabelled, resealed, or repackaged, anything with the lot number or expiry rubbed off, or anything marked as a sample or as not for retail sale. We cannot buy anything that had to be kept refrigerated, because we have no way to know how it was stored.

We cannot buy anything that carries a prescription label, or a pharmacy label with a patient name on it. Products sold on prescription are handled differently in law from products you can buy off a shelf, and a shop like ours is not permitted to take them. This is the rule people are most often surprised by, so please check the box before you contact us. If you are not sure whether what you have is prescription only, send us a photograph of the box before you set off and we will tell you.

We do not buy medicines of any kind, including insulin.

We cannot buy supplies that were paid for by Medicare, by Medicaid, by another government program, or by an insurance plan. Those supplies were paid for so that you could use them, and reselling them can be treated as fraud against the program that paid.

This is the case even when the supplies are sealed, in date and never opened, and even when you were sent more than you needed. If your supplies arrive from a mail order supplier rather than being bought over the counter, that is a sign they fall into this category. Ask us before you make the trip.

By selling to us you confirm all of the following. You are 18 or over. The supplies are yours and you came by them lawfully. They were bought over the counter or otherwise paid for by you, not supplied through Medicare, Medicaid, another government program or insurance. They have never been opened or used. And everything you have told us about them is true.

You also confirm you are not reselling as a business that you would need a license for. If you are not sure, ask us before you meet us. If any of that turns out not to be the case, the sale can be undone and we can ask for our money back.

Tell us if anything has been somewhere hot, damp, or in a car for a long stretch. It does not automatically stop us buying. It changes what we can do with it, and we would rather know before we meet than after.

If a box turns out to have been stored in a way that makes it unsellable, we will say so at the meetup and you can take it home.

We record the lot number of everything we buy. If a manufacturer or a regulator recalls a lot after we have bought it from you, we may contact you about it.

That is the only reason we would get in touch about a completed sale, and it is one of the reasons we keep a record of what we bought and when.

If we decide not to buy, you keep your supplies, we do not charge you anything, and that is the end of it. That applies whether we turned them down because of their condition or because of one of the rules above.

We are not able to give you advice about what to do with supplies we cannot buy. Your pharmacy or a local supply donation program is usually the right place to ask.

We pay at the meetup, once we have checked the boxes and you have accepted the final price. Payment method is agreed with you beforehand.

Ownership passes to us when you are paid. The sale is final at that point.

We meet in public places during the hours shown on this site. If you need to change or cancel, tell us. There is no charge for doing so.

These terms cover supplies we buy in person. We do not buy by post unless we have agreed that with you separately and in writing.

When you give us your phone number, you agree that we can text and call you about your offer, including with automated messages. There is no price on this site, so a text is how you get an answer.

Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We do not need you to agree to texts in order to buy from you, so if you would rather we emailed, say so.

We are responsible for paying you what we agreed. We are not responsible for anything that follows from information you gave us that was not accurate, and we cannot give you medical advice or advice about your insurance.

Nothing here takes away a right you have under consumer protection law in your state.

These terms are governed by the law of the state this business trades in.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your sale is the one published when you sent us your details.
